Flixton Juniors FC. is one of the oldest Junior Football Clubs in the area. It was started in 1970/71 by the late Ron Massey, who after he had completed his own football career playing for Old Flixtonians and later Flixton FC, decided that he wanted to put something back into the game and give youngsters a chance to play soccer. He soon established a good side and then with the help of some of the parents he started a committee comprising of the first chairman Mr Dave Whittaker.
